Another indoor race dream
I had yet another dream about running a race indoors. This time I think it was a marathon. I was running really fast and was doing well until I didn’t know which way to turn at this one hallway. There were signs pointing each way that had writing on it in very small font. I didn’t have my glasses on so I couldn’t read which way to go. I picked right and ended up going down a narrow stairway. At the bottom was a small room filled with snacks like pretzels and donuts. I had two pretzels, but then the way that people were looking at me made me think that it wasn’t part of the race, so I thanked them and left. I then went the other direction in the hallway and ended up at the finish line. There was no clock so I didn’t know what my time was, but I knew that I had cheated because the people around me looked way faster than me.
I had a running dream where I was inside one of the buildings on the University of Michigan campus. I ended up getting lost in there. It was very weird. There was also what looked like a frat party or something. Ever try running through a crowd of people at a frat party? It’s really hard!
I’ve also had dreams where I’m at my favorite running store buying new shorts and feeling excited about the prospect. Wow, how boring am I that my dreams are exactly what happens to me in real life?

That’s funny! Which building was it? I hope not in the stacks at the library, because I got lost there in real life and can’t imagine trying to run through there. Although that wouldn’t make a good site for a party.

Oh, did you go to UM? It was West Engineering, in fact. (I went to UM for my master’s degree in geology). I only had one class in West Engin so I have no idea why my brain picked it as my dream site! I should have been inside C.C. Little or Dennison.

Yes, I went there for undergrad. I once had a dream about Angell Hall, but I was there for a protest of something not to run.
